Building together at DayOne, every day
At DayOne, everything moves fast — but no one moves alone. GM Thailand Bruce Lim shares what it’s like to work in a culture where collaboration is at the heart of building Asia’s digital future.

At DayOne, the pace and variety are relentless — and that’s by design. The company operates at scale, with annual completed projects exceeding 400MW across the region, and every day involves collaborating with different stakeholders, from government agencies to internal leadership, site contractors and global partners.
"What really stands out here is how much everyone leans on each other," Bruce says. "You see it at every level, people stepping up and keeping things moving forward."Bruce’s day before our interview is a perfect example of how much teamwork happens behind the scenes.
Based in Bangkok, Bruce flew into Singapore early in the morning for the Singapore data center groundbreaking ceremony before attending a senior meeting in the afternoon with the CEO alongside colleagues from corporate, technical and operations. In the meeting, everyone weighed in openly and quickly aligned on the next steps for the regional projects.
That same evening, Bruce was already on a plane back to Bangkok in preparation for a series of meetings with local partners the next day. Each meeting was prepared in close coordination with DayOne’s legal, compliance and engineering teams, some of whom are based in Singapore, Hong Kong and Malaysia, all leaning in to drive the success of DayOne’s operations in Thailand.
What makes DayOne truly unique is its culture of sincerity in serving clients’ needs. No matter the complexity of the matter, DayOne will explore all possibilities in delivering consistency and value, working around quality solutions with clients, side by side. “People here care about doing the right thing for the client, even if the solution is difficult.” Bruce asserts. “That trust is the magic sauce that makes working here really special."
By night, Bruce and his team attend late-night BIM (Building Information Modelling) workshops to optimise construction sequence, resource allocation and safe operations. He believes that continuous learning and challenging the status quo are essential for creating newer, better solutions to lead in the digital infrastructure industry.
It’s this collaborative spirit that defines DayOne for Bruce — and why he believes it’s a rewarding place to grow a career. "The company is young, energetic, and fast-moving, and there will be so much learning from the people around you," he conjectures.
