Management Team

Jamie Khoo

Chief Executive Officer

Jamie Khoo has served as CEO of DayOne since 2024, where she leads the company’s growth strategy and overall business performance, and joined the Board of Director in 2026.  

Under her leadership, DayOne has grown its footprint across nine markets, including Singapore, Johor, Kuala Lumpur, Indonesia, Thailand, Japan, Hong Kong, Finland and Spain, establishing the company as a trusted partner to some of the world’s most prominent hyperscale customers.

Jamie brings over 30 years of experience in finance, investments, and digital infrastructure, with a strong track record in scaling data center platforms. Previously, she held senior roles at ST Telemedia, ABB, Ernst & Young, and Baker Hughes.  

She was named to Forbes Asia’s Power Businesswomen 2025 list, and Forbes 50 Over 50 Global 2026 list. One of few female CEOs in the data center industry, Jamie is a visible champion for women in leadership and a mentor to emerging talent.   

Jamie holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from the National University of Singapore and an MBA from the University of Hull. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants and a member of the Singapore Institute of Directors.

Yan Cheng Kang

Chief Financial Officer

Yan Cheng Kang (CK) has served as CFO of DayOne since 2026. He leads DayOne’s global finance organisation, overseeing financial strategy, capital management and financial governance.  

CK brings significant experience across digital infrastructure investing, private equity, and capital markets. 

Prior to joining DayOne, he was a Managing Director at Hillhouse, leading private equity and real assets investments across Southeast Asia. He previously spent a decade at KKR and started his career in Citis Investment Banking Division. 

CK holds a Bachelor of Business Management from Singapore Management University.

Daniel Fertig

Chief Legal Officer

Daniel Fertig leads DayOne’s global legal and governance function, overseeing corporate legal strategy, regulatory oversight and risk management.   

Daniel brings nearly 25 years of experience in corporate finance, capital markets, SEC and regulatory compliance and corporate governance most recently as a partner in the Capital Markets practice at Simpson Thacher’s Hong Kong office. During his tenure at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, Daniel advised on numerous landmark capital markets and financing transactions, including an IPO that, at the time, was the largest in history globally. He has extensive experience advising on corporate governance and regulatory compliance matters for multiple U.S.-listed issuers and has advised on significant fundraisings and listings for Asia-based companies across the region.

He has been recognized as a Leading Individual for Equity Capital Markets in Hong Kong by The Legal 500 Asia-Pacific 2024-2025 and as a Highly Regarded lawyer in Hong Kong - Private Equity from 2017-2025 by the IFLR1000, among other recognitions. 

Daniel holds a B.A. from the University of Virginia, an M.A. from Columbia University and a J.D. from Columbia University Law School.

Matthew Pullen

Executive Vice President, Nordics & Middle East

Matthew Pullen leads DayOne’s growth strategy across the Nordics & Middle East. His responsibilities span regional strategy, market development, business partnerships, regulatory and stakeholder engagement, project and operational oversight.  

Matthew is a seasoned data center executive with a strong track record of building and scaling operations across Europe. He established the Data Center practice at CBRE, was Founding Partner and Managing Director of Zenium, and served as EVP of CyrusOne's European business, scaling the portfolio from four hyperscale facilities across two markets to 15 data centers across six European markets. He also served as a Board Director of CyrusOne’s joint venture with KEPCo in Japan. 

Matthew holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Property Valuation and Finance from City University (Cass Business School), London and is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

Eddie Kilbane

Senior Vice President, Sales

Eddie Kilbane leads global sales and business development efforts across the EMEA region. He is responsible for driving strategic growth initiatives, developing key partnerships, and leading the global sales organisation to accelerate business performance and deliver value for customers worldwide. 

With extensive experience across data center development, operations, business development, commercial strategy, and sales leadership, Eddie works closely with teams to identify new opportunities, strengthen customer relationships, and support the company's long-term growth ambitions.  

Previously he held leadership positions with Echelon Data Centres, Cambridge MC Consultants and Dataplex Group where he successfully led commercial growth initiatives, developed strategic partnerships and expanded businesses across international markets. 

Eddie holds a Higher National Diploma in Building and Construction Reading College of Technology. 

Jimmy Yu

Senior Vice President, Business Development

Jimmy Yu is a data center and cloud infrastructure veteran with more than 16 years of experience. He joined DayOne in 2021 to lead Southeast Asia projects and business development in Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia. Today, he leads business development efforts across APAC and Europe, driving partnerships and growth initiatives in key markets. 

Prior to his tenure at DayOne, Jimmy was a core member of the AWS global infrastructure leadership team, where he orchestrated the launch of three AWS clusters and drove strategic projects across the APAC region, particularly in Singapore and Tokyo.

Verghese Jacob

Executive Vice President, Technology

Verghese Jacob oversees direction for data center technologies at DayOne. A technology leader with over 30 years of experience, He has spent his career at the cutting edge of the telecommunications and data center industries, working with both established and startup companies. He is at the forefront of leading design, technology integration, and program rollouts.  

With hands-on practical experience in site due diligence, design development, customer technical negotiations, technology selection, procurement, construction management, commissioning, and handover to operations, he has delivered several hundred megawatts of data center capacity for co-location providers. His work supports major hyperscale customers. 

Prior to joining DayOne, Verghese served as Chief Technology Officer for DCI Data Centers and was a member of the executive leadership team. 

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Adelaide University and an Executive Certificate in Cybersecurity from Harvard University.

Stuart Kennedy

Senior Vice President, Data Center Operations

Stuart Kennedy leads Data Center Operations at DayOne, responsible for operational readiness, availability, and service excellence across multi-gigawatt hyperscale campuses in Southeast Asia and expanding international markets.  

Stuart is a global data center operations leader with more than 20 years of experience delivering and operating hyperscale, mission-critical, and AI-ready digital infrastructure across banking, telecommunications, and cloud-adjacent environments

Prior to joining DayOne, Stuart held leadership roles including Head of Data Center Operations at AirTrunk, as well as leadership positions at iseek-KDC and Morgan Stanley. He has a strong track record of building high-performance teams and delivering resilient, scalable operations in complex, high-growth environments. 

Leigh Ann Schell

Executive Vice President, Human Resources

Leigh Ann Schell leads DayOne’s global human resources function, bringing over 30 years of leadership experience building and developing HR processes and teams across North America, EMEA, and APAC. She specialises in transformation, global expansion and building inclusive workplace cultures. 

Prior to joining DayOne, Leigh Ann served as the Chief Human Resources Officer at Vantage Towers AG, one of Europe's leading telecommunications tower infrastructure companies. She has held various leadership positions at The Coca-Cola Company, Ericsson, Abercrombie & Fitch, and First Data.  

Leigh Ann holds a Cornell Labor Relations Certificate and a SPHR Certificate from SHRM. She graduated from Human Resources Executive University of Michigan and has a bachelor's from American University.
