Singapore's green data center built on hydrogen
power
SG1 carries 20 MW of DC-CFA approved capacity and hosts Singapore's first on-site hydrogen energy proof-of-concept, built around a Solid Oxide Fuel Cell system. The project is financed through a green loan with DBS, OCBC and UOB acting as Joint Mandated Lead Arrangers, Bookrunners, and Green Loan Coordinators.
Singapore adds another layer to that picture. With over 16 subsea cables, it is one of the most connected markets in the world, giving green hyperscale workloads low-latency access to global networks without trading off on sustainability standards.

Pioneering green energy infrastructure in
Singapore
Singapore is our home market and the base for our hydrogen power programme. In 2023, we became one of only four operators to receive a development permit under Singapore's DC-CFA, enabling approximately 20 MW of sustainable data center capacity at Jurong East.
In 2024, we acquired a prime site at 21 Jalan Buroh and began integrating Solid Oxide Fuel Cell technology on-site. It is the first proof of concept for hydrogen-based power generation in a Singapore data center, reflecting how we approach clean energy infrastructure across our network.

SG1
SG1 is DayOne's Singapore campus and the base for our hydrogen power programme. Approved under the DC-CFA, the site at 21 Jalan Buroh is designed for clean energy deployment at scale, with SOFC technology enabling hydrogen-based power generation on-site. Opening in 2027, SG1 brings together Singapore's connectivity advantages, policy certainty, and our own commitment to low-carbon infrastructure in a single campus.
